I am writing from a correctional institution, where I am on remand awaiting trial. I’m being charged with “trafficking in dangerous drugs”.
Allow me to share my story.
My accomplice and I were acquainted through an online recruitment ad. We were assigned to travel to Brazil and Kuala Lumpur respectively. Our recruiter first asked my accomplice to pick up a package of jade from Brazil and then travel back to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong Customs yesterday (February 19) detected a passenger drug trafficking case at Hong Kong International Airport and seized about 780 grams of suspected methamphetamine with an estimated market value of about $440,000. An incoming woman was arrested.
Two suspects allegedly set up 10 shell companies and opened 13 corporate accounts to handle HK$5.5 billion in criminal proceeds.
According to Australian police, Sydney-based syndicate acted as unregulated multinational bank.
One man on suspicion of drug trafficking was arrested as Hong Kong Customs seized about 100 kg of methamphetamine with a market value of around HK$57 million.
Customs announced on Tuesday that officers found the drugs when inspecting an air cargo consignment arriving in Hong Kong from Canada at the airport on January 30.

A 42-year-old man was arrested in a disguised household goods store in Tsuen Wan for drug trafficking on Saturday after police seized 130 kilograms of methamphetamine worth about HK$75 million.
The Mong Kok police earlier received reports that drug traffickers use the store as a disguise to set up a drug warehouse. An anti-drug operation was conducted on Saturday during which a suspicious man was found entering the store and over a hundred packets of suspected methamphetamine were packaged in tea bags.
The shopkeeper was arrested.

A four-car pile-up involving a school bus with 13 kids onboard at the West Kowloon Corridor Saturday morning saw a private car driver fleeing the scene when aiding police investigations. The driver eventually ran away and officers later seized some drugs in his car.
Apart from the school bus, the crash also involved a Volkswagen, a Tesla, and a taxi.
The incident occurred around 9.30am when the vehicles were heading towards Kwai Tsung but were forced to pull over at the section of road opposite the New Kowloon Plaza.

Hong Kong Customs has confiscated about HK$52 million worth of suspected cocaine and arrested a man during an anti-narcotics operation, also shutting down a newly set up drugs storage in Cheung Sha Wan.
Customs officers intercepted a man at the car park of a private residential estate in Cheung Sha Wan on Wednesday afternoon and found about 1kg of suspected cocaine inside his rucksack. The man was subsequently arrested.

Customs busted a drug trafficking case by seizing over 100 kilograms of methamphetamine, commonly known as “ice,” imported from Mexico at Hong Kong International Airport.
Officers announced today that the drug trafficking case using precision instruments for drug storage was detached at the airport on October 24.
According to Alan Lam Chak-lun, Commander of the Customs Drug Investigation Bureau Airport Investigation Division, officers noticed a box reported to be an electromagnetic separator shipped from Mexico with suspicious images under X-ray examination.
