Two boys aged 15 and 16 were among three arrested as police raided two warehouses in Kwun Tong district and seized drugs worth about HK$1.3 million.
After investigation, officers from the East Kowloon regional crime squad raided a drug warehouse at a Kwun Tong industrial building on Wednesday night, where they intercepted two teenage boys aged 15 and 16.
Officers found 2.2kg of suspected ketamine, a small amount of suspected cocaine, and some drug packaging tools in their possession and arrested them for trafficking in dangerous drugs.
Police then arrested a 27-year-old man, mastermind of the drug syndicate in a Yau Tong flat, and took him to another warehouse at an industrial building in the district. Officers seized 22kg of raw material that could be used to make MDMA, commonly known as “Ecstasy”; 680 tablets of Nimetazepam, known as “Erimin 5”; and a small amount of ketamine.
