Police arrested two men for making and trafficking drugs in Mong Kok and Yuen Long, seizing suspected ketamine worth over HK$11 million.
In an anti-triad operation, officers intercepted a man at Foo Kwai Street in Mong Kok and found suspected ketamine on him. They further seized suspected ketamine weighing about 4.9 kilograms in his rental apartment.
The police arrested the 38-year-old man on suspicion of drug trafficking and suspected he was part of a drug trafficking syndicate active in Hong Kong.
Officers continued investigating the syndicate and locked on to one more high-level member, who was using one of the village houses in Ngau Keng Tsuen in Pak Heung to serve as a drug factory.
The police raided the apartment yesterday (June 17) and seized 4.4 kilograms of suspected ketamine and 40 litres of suspected liquid ketamine with other drug-making tools.
The 31-year-old man was arrested and charged with “manufacturing of dangerous drugs”.
Police do not rule out the possibility of more arrests as the investigation is ongoing.
