Ignorance is evil

“The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance.”

I’d like to take this opportunity to warn all Taiwanese people not to blindly believe in what other people say. Be careful who you trust and always verify all the facts yourself. The consequences may be severe, you may have to pay a heavy price, including prison time.

For instance, no matter the crime, if committed overseas, you’ll never have an option to be handed over back to your own country for trial or to serve your sentence. Don’t be fooled! Don’t be greedy, and don’t be tricked into committing a crime. The consequences of being caught for drug trafficking are very serious, some countries even give the death penalty if caught! In some other countries, jail time may range between 10 to over 20 years. Is it really worth it? It would be too late for regrets when the mistake has been made.

While I was in Taiwan, I made the wrong connections with a number of people who were a bad influence on me. I used to handle their matters without any rewards. As a result, I was facing a criminal trial and awaiting sentencing when I heard from a friend about drug trafficking. She said a settlement allowance would be given if I get caught. She said that if anyone gets caught trafficking drugs in a different country, he or she would be handed over back to his/her country of origin for trial. This was not true at all. My penalty was double the amount I would have gotten in my own country. I made the wrong decision, and now I need to face the consequences. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

In August 2018 someone mentioned a drug trafficking trip with a NT$50,000 reward, and I accepted her offer. Two months later someone picked me up from a hotel and took me to Taoyuan Airport. We traveled to Spain via Hong Kong. After staying in Spain for about a week, we departed for Cambodia. Two days later, we were at the hotel about to depart for Hong Kong when my travel companion wrapped the drugs onto my body. I got arrested at the Hong Kong International Airport while waiting for instructions.
